Many of the clients I work with internally feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in cycles of anxiety and self-doubt. You may feel pressure to keep up at work or school, struggle to switch off your mind, or notice that stress is affecting your sleep, focus, or motivation. Others come feeling weighed down by past experiences, including childhood trauma, and want to better understand why certain triggers, emotions, or patterns continue to show up.
I provide individual counselling for adults and young adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, and life transitions related to work or post-secondary studies. My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive, creating a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and feel understood without judgement.
I am trained and certified in Brainspotting, a powerful, brain-body based therapy that helps process trauma and emotional stress at a deeper level. I also incorporate somatic (body-based) approaches, looking at challenges through a nervous system lens. This can be especially helpful if you feel constantly on edge, shut down, overwhelmed, or disconnected, even when you logically know things are “okay.”
Together, we work on understanding the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, reshaping unhelpful narratives, and helping you reconnect with your sense of confidence, clarity, and direction. Therapy moves at a pace that feels right for you, with space for feedback along the way so the process feels supportive and aligned with what you need.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control of your responses, and better able to move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care and a diploma in Child and Youth Work. I am a certified Brain Spotting therapist with over 15 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings including post-secondary schools as a mental health counsellor, and at a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre where I worked with resilient individuals and their families who experienced abuse and trauma. I have helped create and facilitate therapeutic groups on self-compassion, mindfulness and anxiety, family violence and self-esteem.
If I wasn’t a Therapist I would love to create and own a coffee shop or be a themed party planner
