There is a quiet awakening and strength that comes with the desire for change. Perhaps you are in a significant life transition that calls into question the beliefs that have motivated you thus far. You might be navigating your sense of self in a world designed for conformity. Maybe you are experiencing internal conflict about the culture of your upbringing, or are yearning to become more at peace with your relationships without losing your sense of self. Together, we will gently face that which has held you back from living with vitality and self-compassion. Grounding in the felt sense of your emotions, I’ll support you to unpack the early experiences that have shaped who you are today, to be able to move towards your most authentic self.

I might be the right therapist for you if you are looking for someone who understands the role culture plays in values formation, interpersonal relationships, and identity development. You may be looking for someone that understands it is not neurodivergent identity that is disabling, but rather environments that aren’t inclusive of difference. Perhaps you are ready to explore new ways of being in relationship with yourself and loved others amidst life transitions like coupling, parenthood, divorce and step-family formation.

I prioritize creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety and collaboration. My approach is experiential and integrative. This means that while insight is helpful to better understand oneself, we will also prioritize emotions, feeling how it shows up the body, and focus on your relationship with yourself. I integrate therapeutic modalities according to your needs, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), values-driven and skill building models like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-processing models like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have over 25 years experience in the early childhood development sector, which grounds much of my work by emphasizing how early attachment experiences shape who we are today.

Outside of therapy, you will find me spending time in nature with my dog, or decompressing through a karaoke session. I love to get lost in historical fiction novels, or ugly cry to good 90’s era movie. Yoga and meditation are fundamental to my wellbeing, as well as indulging as a self-proclaimed foodie.
