Our early life experiences have a profound influence on how we connect with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. Along the way, we develop patterns of thinking, feeling, and coping that once helped us navigate difficult experiences but can later leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from what matters most. I truly believe healing is possible, and you don’t have to face these challenges by yourself.

I work with teens (14+) and adults, both virtually and in-person, who are finding their way through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, life transitions, existential questions, and personality-related challenges. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and always collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and that therapy should be tailored to your unique experiences, strengths, and personal goals.

My priority is to offer a space that feels warm, compassionate, and free of judgment where you can feel truly heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll explore how your life experiences have shaped where you are today, draw on your existing strengths, and work toward a life that feels more meaningful, connected, and true to who you are.

Approaches Used

Laura is a Pre-Licensed Professional, currently completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience supporting individuals through trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, personality-related challenges, and suicidal distress.

Laura’s clinical background includes supporting clients as they navigate complex trauma, suicide risk, interpersonal difficulties, and emotional dysregulation across community mental health settings in both Toronto and Montreal. Beyond her psychotherapy work, Laura has offered crisis intervention and emotional support to hospitalized psychiatric patients, youth and adults through crisis services, including Kids Help Phone, and youth living in residential group homes.

Alongside her clinical work, Laura has contributed to mental health clinical research focused on depression, suicide, and suicidal behaviours in adults. These research and clinical experiences continue to shape Laura’s compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, allowing her to meet each client with a felt sense of care and understanding.

I believe that healing often begins with small, meaningful moments in everyday life. I enjoy slowing down and reconnecting with what keeps me grounded. Whether practicing mindful movement, spending time outdoors, or being with animals, these moments help me cultivate presence, balance, and a deeper connection with myself and the world around me.
