I work with clients who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them — whether that’s persistent anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, difficulty trusting others, or feeling weighed down by past experiences. Many of the people I support feel overwhelmed by their emotions, disconnected in relationships, or frustrated that despite their efforts, things don’t seem to improve. Some struggle with feeling “on edge,” avoiding reminders of difficult experiences, or feeling controlled by negative beliefs about themselves.

As your therapist, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as you make sense of what you’ve been carrying. Together, we explore the patterns, thoughts, and experiences that may be keeping you feeling stuck, while building tools that help you feel more grounded and confident in your daily life.

I am trained in EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), evidence-based approaches that help clients process trauma, reduce the intensity of difficult memories, and shift unhelpful beliefs such as “I’m not good enough,” “I can’t trust anyone,” or “I should be over this by now.” Many clients come to therapy wanting relief from emotional overwhelm, wanting to feel more present in relationships, or wanting to move forward without feeling defined by the past.

Therapy can help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions, more connected to yourself and others, and more able to move forward with clarity and confidence.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. I also hold a B.Sc. in Psychology from Queen’s University and have training working with incarcerated and traumatized individuals. I am an EMDR certified therapist. My previous professional experience includes crisis telephone line work with over six years of experience conducting psychological research with individuals with MDD and other psychiatric disorders. In addition to this, I also bring experience as an educator and curriculum designer in diversity and inclusion as well as adult learning in corporate spaces.

Outside the therapy room, I love hosting dinner parties, getting lost in a good book, and spending time outdoors, whether hiking a trail or out on the water. I’m always curious and eager to keep learning, and I treasure time at home with my pets.
