Practicum & Internship Students

Stark Wellness Clinic offers a high-quality, competitive practicum placement for graduate-level counselling and psychotherapy students who are seeking meaningful clinical experience in a private practice setting.

Our practicum is well-suited for students who are motivated, clinically curious, and eager to develop strong therapeutic skills while working with real clients in both virtual and in-person environments.

Due to the quality of training, supervision, and clinical exposure offered, our practicum placements are highly competitive. We strongly encourage interested applicants to apply as early as possible.

Applicants are encouraged to include:

Evidence of clinical trainings, workshops, or certifications
Any direct client experience gained outside of their academic program

Practicum Requirements

To be considered for a practicum placement, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be currently enrolled in a qualifying graduate-level counselling or psychotherapy program
Be in the process of registering with the CRPO
Ability to carry a caseload of 10–15 clients per week
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Availability to provide in-person therapy at least two days per week
Weekly individual supervision with their assigned clinical supervisor
Monthly group consultation and professional development with a senior clinician at Stark Wellness Clinic
Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to starting the placement
